France has a rigid administration totally unfit for business, right? Well, the study by A.T Kearney ranked France has the 7th most attractive country for foreign investors in the world, so it might not be so bad after all; especially for tech companies.

Technology-wise, France is up-to-date. Today, it’s in Apple’s top five biggest markets, and it was even in the number 2 spot a few years ago. If you want to build a technology-related product, France is one of the best countries to do it in.
Social coverage
France certainly never hesitates when it comes to distributing money. Fortunately, not only does this apply for things like unemployment or healthcare, but it also goes for research and innovation. For example, you can fund up to 30% of your research expenses with the “Crédit Impôt Recherche”
Finding developers
France does pretty well when it comes to its developers. Just look at the Paris area; there are more than 7 world-renowned engineering schools there!
Granted, you might think that it doesn’t matter, because of how hard they are to fire. And you’d be right. For the first 3 months. After the 3-months trial period, you can fire them however you want, so don’t worry about that!
And that’s not even mentioning advantages such as French Tech Visas… And with the new French president, Emmanuel Macron constantly putting the emphasis on tech and innovation, it’s only going to get better in the coming years.
