When setting up a company, you’re going to need every penny you can get, and consulting represents additional expenses. That is certainly true.

So, is it still worth it to find consulting?

If you can, definitely! Creating a business requires knowledge, expertise, and know-how in a lot of different domains, something that’s hard to acquire on your own. After all, even if you’re an expert at what you do, that doesn’t necessarily mean that you’re properly trained in accounting or law!
As such, having multiple professionals at your side can increase the chances of your company succeeding by quite a bit. After all, in France, about 50% of companies disappear in less than 5 years, while the proportion of accompanied companies who make it past the 5th year is over 70%.

Of course, it’s especially important to find consulting when setting up a company in another country. You’re going to be facing a different set of rules from what you’re used to, so in these cases, having someone with a good grasp on the customs is pretty much mandatory.

Where can I find a consulting partner?

You’ll actually come across a lot of people able to offer you great advice when creating your company normally! But here’s a list of people you could contact:

  • Dedicated counselors
  • Chartered accountants
  • Notaries and lawyers
  • Bankers

All of them will be able to offer great advice in their particular field. For example, bankers are used to analyzing business plans and your accountant will know the ins and outs of your finances better than anyone.
