“I wish for France to be one of the leaders in Artificial intelligence”. These are the words of the French president Emmanuel Macron about some of his plans for the future of France.

Overall, it looks like he plans on delivering on his promise: he has formally declared that the state would invest one and a half billion euros in artificial intelligence by the end of his term.
But that’s not all: the aim is to mix public funding with private funding to create the best environment to develop AI in France as possible; and the number of students trained in AI development should double by 2020.

All of this is in tune with France’s already existing emphasis on technological progress. Especially with new programs such as the “French Tech Seed” designed to help entrepreneurs fund their innovative projects, we believe that now’s the perfect time to set up a tech company in France.
